Fall is here and the colder temps mean I want nothing but warm and comforting meals pretty much exclusively. This time of year is also when I love to cook with pork; it’s fantastic for low and slow cooking and pairs really well with fall veggies and even fruit. Here are my current favorite pork recipes for fall featuring cuts of our heritage forest-raised pork:
Chorizo Breakfast Hash from Homemade Home
The perfect hearty meal before a full day on the farm, the addition of chorizo adds a kick of heat to take this breakfast staple to the next level.
Apple-Cider Braised Pork Shoulder from The Modern Proper
This dish screams fall and the whole pieces of apple (alongside the apple cider vinegar) pair especially well with the tender pork shoulder.
Sweet-and-Saucy Pork Chops from Bon Appétit
Pork chops are a weeknight favorite for our family and my kids can’t get enough of these chops made with a caramelized pan sauce.
Creamy Potato Sausage and White Cheddar Soup
What better way to cozy up on a chilly autumn evening than a creamy and comforting polish sausage and potato soup?
Slow-Cooker Pork Carnitas from Food Network
Taco Tuesday just got a whole lot tastier with these no-fuss slow-cooker friendly pork carnitas made with pork shoulder.
